Part-Time Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher

The Part-Time P.E. Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging physical education
instruction that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, healthy lifestyle habits, and overall
well-being of the student. This role supports each student’s development that should challenge them
physically and mentally. You will serve as a positive role model in character, integrity, and respect in and
out of the P.E. classroom setting. The ideal candidate will support the school’s mission by integrating
physical development with character formation and Catholic values.
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan and execute school-wide athletic-related events and fundraisers.
● Plan, implement, and scale age-appropriate P.E. lessons and activities aligned with school
standards
● Teach skills related to fitness, movement, sports, and teamwork, and leadership
● Ability to engage students in disciplined skills of varying levelings
● Promote positive behavior, cooperation and sportsmanship at all times
● Foster teamwork, leadership, and encouragement in competitive and non-competitive settings.
● Ensure a safe and inclusive environment during all physical activities
● Monitor and assess student progress and participation
● Maintain equipment and organize activity spaces
● Communicate with school staff regarding student progress or concerns
Qualifications:
● Experience working with elementary and middle school students in a school or athletic setting
● Knowledge of fitness principles, sports rules, and injury prevention
● Strong classroom management and communication skills
● Ability to demonstrate physical activities and remain active for extended periods
● Ability to lift and carry sports equipment up to 50lbs
Schedule:
● Part-time
Preferred Skills:
● Bachelors degree in PHysical Education or related field

● Teaching certification
● First Aid/CPR certification
● Experience with a variety of sports and fitness programs
● Ability to empathize with students of all ages
● Willingness to integrate virtue-based instruction
